Barbara and Franklin Miller fell in love with the house while seeking a place for Franklin's studio. Franklin is a professional artist and maintains a working studio on the property grounds. Guests are invited to view whatever portrait, still life or landscape might be in progress.
Barbara's creativity is expressed in the decorating of the house, furnished with a blend of family furniture, reproductions and American antiques. She also loves to cook, so breakfast is sure to include fresh baked goods and a savory casserole. With advance notice, special dietary requirements can be accommodated, and picnic lunches can be prepared.
Barklin House is also home to our cat, DB, who is always delighted to entertain.
